Dan Whittaker is a storm chaser, degreed photojournalist, and teacher. He has been documenting tornadoes and hurricanes since 2008, and has worked with BBC, the US Coast Guard, the US State Department for storm research and education. His storm videos are frequently aired nationally by The Weather Channel, ABC, NBC, and Weather Nation. Dan’s ancestors have a strong history of weather and radar scientists including Cleveland Abbe, who is considered America’s first weather forecaster and ‘Father of the Weather Bureau’.
